201 Stainless (On Demand)

201 Stainless Steel is a low-cost alternative to the standard Cr-Ni austenitic stainless steels such as 304. It contains roughly half the nickel content of 304 Stainless Steel, which is compensated by alloy additions of manganese and nitrogen.

This results in a higher strength than 304 Stainless, while retaining good welding characteristics. 201 Stainless Steel has good corrosion resistance, and thus is suitable for applications in hollowware, catering equipment and kitchen consumer equipment.

Its excellent low-temperature properties make it suitable for cryogenic vessels.

    0.4571mm - 3.048mm
  • Available in #4, 2B, and ALG (Architectural Long Grain) Finishes
301 Stainless (On Demand)

301 Stainless Steel is available with a lower nickel content and higher chromium level to make it a substitute for 304 in various applications.

Nickel is replaced by different levels of copper, carbon and nitrogen, giving it excellent ductility and formability. 301 responds similarly to 304 for drawing purposes due to its low temperature properties. 301 also contains 6% nickel, making it suitable for application in kitchen appliances, catering equipment, pots, pans and automobile moulding and trim.

302 Stainless (On Demand)

302 Stainless Steel is a slightly higher carbon version of type 304, most commonly found in strip and wire forms.

It is more corrosion-resistant than 301 due to higher nickel content. Non-magnetic in annealed form, slightly magnetic when cold formed.

303 Stainless (On Demand)

303 Stainless Steel is a free machining variation of alloy 304 for use in automatic machining operations.

It is corrosion resistant to atmospheric exposures, sterilizing solutions, most organic and many inorganic chemicals, most dyes, nitric acid and foods.

304 Stainless

304 Stainless Steel is the most widely used of the stainless and heat-resisting steels. It offers good corrosion resistance to many chemical corrodents as well as industrial atmospheres.

It also has very good formability and can be welded by all common methods. This alloy possesses excellent low-temperature properties and responds well to hardening by cold working. The chemical composition of 304 Stainless enables it to be deep drawn more severely than alloy 301, without intermediate annealing.

316/316L Stainless

316 Stainless Steel offers better corrosion and pitting resistance as well as higher strength at elevated temperatures than 304 Stainless.

It also offers improved machinability. 316L Stainless Steel is an extra low carbon variation of alloy 316 that was designed to avoid carbide precipitation due to welding. It has the same excellent corrosion resistance as alloy 316, with some improved machinability.

430 Stainless

430 Stainless Steel is the most popular of the non-hardenable chromium stainless steels. It combines good corrosion and heat resistance with good mechanical properties.

Alloy 430 has oxidation resistance to 1500°F. It is widely used in industrial and consumer products.
