Conductive Copper Alloys
Copper is a versatile and practical material with properties that makes it conductive, corrosion resistant, ductile and solderable. It’s no small wonder that it’s affectionately called “Red Gold”. CBC Specialty Metals carries a range of copper alloys that can be provided in multiple formats.

Oxygen Free Copper has the highest conductivity of any of the copper alloys, thanks to the fact that it has had most of its oxygen removed during the forging process. This type of copper is widely used in electronics as well as manufacturing.
C101: Oxygen Free Electronic Copper:
Valued for its chemical purity more than its electrical conductivity. C101 copper is 99.9% copper with an oxygen content of 0.0005% or less. C101 copper is certified to the % amount of impurities in its composition.
C102: Oxygen Free Copper:
C102 copper is a 99.95% pure copper alloy with an oxygen content of 0.0010% or less. C102 copper is not certified to the % amount of impurities in its composition and instead strictly focuses on copper content and conductivity rating.

C110 copper is a 99.9% pure copper alloy. It has high electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance and solderability.
C110 copper becomes ductile and soft at a red heat, making it a good material for hot working. Its inherent fabrication qualities readily permit it to be bent, soldered, peened, riveted and formed to fit almost any design specification.
Due to its properties, C110 copper is an excellent material for countless applications across the architectural and electrical sectors.

C122 Copper is a 99.9% pure copper alloy with an agreed upon amount of phosphorus which is between .015% and .040% of its composition. It has a lower conductivity rating, however it boasts a higher tensile and yield strength than other pure copper alloys.
Its composition also makes it a better candidate for cold/hot working, soldering and brazing than other grades of pure copper. Due to its properties C122 copper is the backbone of the HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and air industries.
